Born in Auroville
Bodhi was born in Auroville, an experimental township in South India dedicated to human unity and conscious living. This unique environment, where spirituality and sustainability intertwine, shapes everything we do.
In Auroville, creation is not separate from consciousness. It is here that we learned to work with nature rather than against it, to honor traditional craftsmanship, and to build a practice rooted in respect for people and planet.
Karma Yoga: The Practice of Mindful Work
At the heart of Bodhi is the principle of Karma Yoga—the yoga of action. This ancient philosophy teaches that work itself can be a spiritual practice when performed with full presence, care, and devotion.
Every stitch, every dye bath, every fold of fabric is approached as a meditation. Our makers bring their full attention to each step, infusing the garments with intention and integrity. This is not just about making clothing—it is about honoring the sacred in the everyday.
Natural & Ayurvedic Dyes
We work exclusively with natural and Ayurvedic dyes, drawing from ancient traditions that date back thousands of years. Turmeric, indigo, madder root, pomegranate—each color comes from the earth and returns to it without harm.
These plant-based materials not only create beautiful, living colors that evolve with time, but they also carry healing properties rooted in Ayurvedic wisdom. The process is slow, unpredictable, and deeply connected to the rhythms of nature.
